How do i tell the power output of my desktop's power supply?
I am planning on buying a new graphics card for my desktop and it requires for minimum 500 Watts and for maximum 600 Watts. And i want to know if im going to have to buy a new power supply to support it. So how do i tell the power output of my power supply?

- it will be labeled on the power supply itself, will have to open the case to see.
- call best buy
- Go to the desktop's manufacturer's website armed with the model number. If it's a major brand (HP/Compaq, Dell,...) you should be able to look up the specifications for the machine and find out what wattage power supply it shipped with. Remember, though, that the power supply also has to provide power for the CPU and any onboard disk drives, so don't cut it too close to the graphics board's requirements. Hope that helps.
- Google brand model # specs
