Logic? .?

do you think that the universe is really logical? i know we use maths to describe the universe and logic is the foundation of math but for a moment have you ever thought that perhaps this is wrong perhaps all the laws of nature do not obey logic? trailerparkbob i gave u the thumb down for the simple reason that u suggested a read but never "ANSWERED THE QUESTION"

  1. study Pythagoras, Plato, Descartes, Leibniz, Spinoza, Kepler, Newton, Einstein, Hawking. Who ever gave me a thumbs down is an idiot.
  2. As in quantum mechanics? That everything has a chance of not being what it seems? Sure there is always that extreme realm of the impossible becoming possible. There is antimatter, absolute zero, reaching the speed of light, the edge of the universe, and all those other crazy concepts.
  3. Well Im not an expert on this kind of thing, and I know what I'm about to suggest sure has gotten slung around alot by dilettantes like myself, who maybe ought to be discouraged from doing it so flip and casual like, but I'm going to suggest it anyway. I think you're looking for Goedel's Incompleteness Theorem here.
  4. You are using logic to infer that things may not be logical, therefore, it must be logical (since that's the origin of its founding basis) .
  5. Logic is a tool used to describe reality, it isn't reality in itself and so only allows in, if you wish, what conforms to its own rules, the rules of logic.
  6. The universe isn't logical. Humans invented logic to predict the future. The universe does follow patterns and logic is a process whereby we can come to understand those patterns. Logic creates a simulation of the universe which we can use to predict what will happen in similar circumstances. And like someone else already said, it is kind of funny that you're using logic to prove that the universe isn't logical.
