Severstal is one of the world’s leading vertically integrated steel and mining companies. They currently have 50,000 employees across the globe.
One of the key components of our brief was to help them sit more comfortably in a western market place. They felt they were being perceived as being too ‘Russian’. There was a very indepth brand program which started with dissecting the entire business architecture, this culminated it categorising the business into three strands; Mining, Production and Steel products. This went on to inform the logo symbol which represents each strand. The work completed included full bilingual brand guidelines, a custom corporate font by Fontsmith, train and airplane livery, buildings signage, packaging and print collateral. The results of the rebrand invigorated the business internally and helped consolidate their presence at home and across Europe.
